Raisin in the Sun

Walter would have to be my favorite character. Yet he is a grouchy person sometime he really does care about his family. To me the way he shows it is through all the mess he gets everyone in. Walter just gets to much thinking before realizing that he should not have trusted someone you don't know very much. So out of all this he was a really good character and I would like to read other plays that are similar to him.

The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man- In-The- Moon Marigolds

This picture is what I think that Tillie would look like. At least it reminds me of her. In this play it was a little hard to understand, in some parts. Although the play was really good. I don't think I would have liked it as much if the class did not act it out. That was my favorite part when everyone acted it out. It was more interesting then just sitting and reading it and not knowing anything about it. The only part I did not like is how Beatrice treated her Tillie and favored Ruth. Other than that great play.

The Inability to Make Meaningful Human Connections

Beatrice has her moment and goes to town putting the newspaper up on her window because she is afraid that someone will see her. She absolutely does not want anything to do with anybody, hardly even her family. The picture helps show that one it was used for the window, and they were also laying all over the house in the floor.

Beatrice puts newspapers up on the window so no one will see them.

She also if afraid of to talk with people in the world because she afraid that she will get made fun of.

Life Versus Death

Beatrice kind of is ruining the girls life more Tillie then anything. She likes to be somewhat nice to Ruth. In the picture it reminds me of Beatrice and Tillie. Tillie just kind of has no life but Beatrice does. The picture is very good for this theme. It shows no soul and one who does have a soul. Which reminds me of them two. It just has that death look but a little life look.

Beatrice in Act 2 kills the rabbit.
Beatrice also shows no affection towards Tillie, in which makes her feel like she not even there.

Dreams

This picture shows a little girl completly scared out of her mind. I think it relates with Ruth in the story. Ruth woke up from a horrible nightmare, then leading to a seziure. This little girl looks like she is going to pass out. This picture to me is like a nightmare that you just cant wake up from. Its like you think you are awake when really your not, at that point it just makes you even more scared then the dream itself, thats what dreams are to me anyways.

When Ruth has her nightmare and has a seziure.
Then also when Beatrice tells them about how she had a nightmare about her father and her.

Self Image

Self image to me is what you think about yourself. For example this mirror everyone always checks the mirror before leave to make sure there is nothing on there face, or to just make sure they look good. Honestly in this situation as long as you think you look ok and no one says anything to you why should you worry about what you like. Even just how you do your hair, clothes, etc. It shouldn't matter to anyone but you.

In the play Ruth says she does not want to be around Tillie because of what she wears. She calls her an embarrassment.

Also Beatrice puts a bow in Tillie's hair and Ruth does not like it. So she takes it out, then of course Beatrice comes back and puts it back in her hair.

Triumph in The Face of Adversity

This to me means that someone having trouble with something for example like car trouble. Or possibly just being in a situation you really can not get out of if you been in it for so long, or needless to say you just gave up and don't think twice about it. You just go on living your life.

This is used in the play when Beatrice decides to go crazy and be negative towards Tillie. By telling her she is ugly.

She also just puts everything on her kids Tillie mostly, but Beatrice likes to make them feel as if they amont to nothing. She thinks she is the best there is.

The reason I put this picture on here is because ear rings are part of what makes me, me. I have a few and they are mostly different colors and shapes and sizes. I get them because one they are just awesome and two its kind of like a change of clothes. I get them at random times. They pretty much just show my personality. And people are always making new flashy ones that you just have to have.

My phone is a huge part of my life. I have to take it with me everywhere I go. I use it to text and talk. Although I'm always losing my phone, and I will start freaking out because I don't know where it went. But yes this is one of my main priorities. So there is probably not one time that you will see me without it unless I have for sure lost my phone.

This picture helps show that somewhere in me there is a little love. Ha Ha. But I think that to share love with someone is a special thing to have. And this picture really shows you it could happen. But it also is just a really awesome looking picture to just sit and stare at. The color is also a very cool one to put on it.

From myspace.com

This picture describes me as a lot of different things. I love for everyone to be peaceful. The colors the textures and designs. And you see so much more of them on clothing, it just all goes together so much. I have pretty much just went through and changed everything I have with peace signs and the other designs that go with it to show how much I really like them.
